Rarely seen on stage in recent years, he has chosen to perform exclusively in the Îles this summer. Accompanied by his longtime collaborators, Claude Fradette on guitars and Karl Surprenant on double bass, Richard invites you to an evening that will be both intimate and grand. The subtle blend of guitars and double bass brings a new depth to his lyrics, amplifying the power of his socially engaged anthems and the beauty of his love songs. From L’étoile du nord to Atlantique Nord, through Señorita and Les Yankees, Richard Desjardins delights in rearranging and revisiting his repertoire, drawing hidden gems from his songbook for the audience to discover—or rediscover—with joy.
